The winner of the Renato Brunetta Award
Posted by Midj on 29 Sep 2011 in Premio Renato Brunetta | 0 commentsOn 27 September at Hotel AC in Milan, the panel of technical judges met for the “Giovani Talenti di Design” Award. This award was established thanks to the valuable collaboration between Midj, the Minister of Public Administration and Innovation Renato Brunetta and the training association Enaip Friuli Venezia Giulia. On this occasion, the winner of the 2011 edition was declared: Andrea Petitti for his “Sieda” chair design project!
The panel of judges, comprising professionals in the sector including the architect Luisa Bocchietto, as president of the panel, architects Roberto Paoli, Maurizio Bradaschia and Ivo Boscariol, and the owners of Midj Paolo and Rudy Vernier, made the award based on the following qualities: an advanced design project with a contemporary line, which is easy to make, inexpensive to produce and highly functional, especially because the chair is stackable.
The winner, Andrea Petitti, will receive the award of a grant for the sum of 5,000 Euros while his design project “Sieda” will be prototyped and produced by Midj.
In addition, the panel of judges decided to highly commend: Valeria Giangiacomo for her “Oplà” design project, Veronica Antoniazzi for “Icon”, Nicola Colonna for “Lisa” and Edoardo Pitton for “Calla”.
The award will be officially handed over at the inauguration of the new Midj headquarters in Cordovado … we will soon notify you of the date!
